Town Government Research Report
YFP conducted research on gender pay gaps within local towns. We have now moved on to a follow up report analyzing pay differences between UMASS employees. If you are a current or retired town worker, we want to hear about your experiences! Submit by emailing us.
Sex-Ed Project
Amherst Young Feminist Party is working on a comprehensive sex education project to teach about Massachusetts's lack of mandatory sex-ed. We are educating through a series of pamphlets about consent, abortion, birth control, laws around the topic of sex-ed, and resources to learn more,
Anti-Sexual Harassment Project
Amherst Young Feminist Party has created a curriculum about sexual harassment. We hope to have it in schools soon!
College Outreach
We have been looking towards the Five College communities as a new source of membership. Keep your eyes peeled for Amherst FYP tables at local college club fairs and events!

Celebrating 3 years of action!
Young Feminist Party Amherst celebrated our third year of action in May 2023. We are celebrated with guest speakers, tables, raffles, and more at the Munson Memorial Library.
Protest against Crisis Pregnancy Centers
May 13th, 10 AM - 12 PM
Join activists from across the pioneer valley in a protest against Alternatives Pregnancy Center in Greenfield MA. The rally will start on the Greenfield town commons and move to the Alternatives Pregnancy Center (466 main Street).
Teach-In

On March 8th Young Feminist Party Amherst taught a short lesson at the local middle school as part of a national action by Generation Ratify. The event was in honor of National Women's Day, and we remembered black feminist Florida Ruffin Ridley with a short presentation and a guest speaker.
March 26: A Fundraiser to Benefit the Brigid Alliance
March 26, 3-5 PM, Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst. Young Feminist Party Amherst is a proud co-sponsor.
Support the Brigid Alliance in an afternoon of reproductive justice and support the network in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v Wade. Enjoy food and beverage, an arts and crafts sale, and a presentation from the Brigid Alliance and State Representative Sabadosa!
March Eighth Event
7-9 PM
Code Pink has organizing an event on March Eighth in celebration of national women's day. YFP Amherst will be tabling, and our chapter director, Marisol, will be speaking alongside a number of other panelists. This event will take place at the First Churches of Northampton and is free to the public!
Truth School: The Path To Enacting The ERA

FYP Amherst leaders Kaz and Malie lead a discussion on the founding of the Equal Rights Amendment, the movement's three stages, and interactive, multi-generational discussions to go in depth about the ERA and achieving legal gender equality!
